Tata Motors has finally unveiled its micro compact SUV Punch. Customers can book the model on the company website and also dealerships at Rs 21,000. The Punch will be launched on October 20.
The Tata Punch, although compact size, its fulfill the presence and stance of an SUV. The Punch comes with a superb driving position and high ground clearance, along with powerful engine and advance features to make the car drive like an SUV.
Engine :
The Punch comes with 1.2 litre Revotron engine with Dyna-Pro technology that can do 0 to 60 kmph in 6.5 seconds and 0 to 100 kmph in 16.5 seconds. The motor generates 86 PS power and 113 Nm torque. The engine can deliver low torque and efficient combustion for a nice driving experience. The engine will be comes with a 5-speed AMT or manual transmission. The AMT also comes with adjusted tuning maps.
The cars gets City and Eco drives modes, idle start-stop to automatically turn off the engine at signals and also equipped with cruise control.
Safety :
In terms of safety, Tata Punch also comes with dual airbags, ISOFIX with top tether for child seats, ABS with EBD and corner safety control, brake sway control technology, front fog lamp with cornering function, parametric alarm system, reverse parking camera, driver and passenger seat belt reminders, and a tyre puncture repair kit.
Variants :
The Tata Punch will be offered in four variants including Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. Colour options on the model will include Orcus White, Daytona Grey, Tropical Mist, Atomic Orange, Meteor Bronze, Tornado Blue, and Calypso Red. The top-end variant can be had with a contrast black or white coloured roof.

The pricing details are yet to be disclosed and are expected to be revealed closer to launch.
The Tata Punch will be competing against Maruti Suzuki Ignis, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and the upcoming Hyundai Casper.
